Founder & CEO

Art Julian CBS NorthStarRole: Art sets the vision, the direction and the example for all of CBS. With more than 30 years in the restaurant technology industry, he clearly understands the challenges today’s operators face. Art has been the innovator behind technology products that make a positive impact on the restaurant’s bottom line and the all-important guest experience.

 

Hometown: Howell Township, NJ

 

Personal: Art has a goal to golf at each of the top 100 golf courses in the world. He’s slowly playing his way through the list, though the top three are off of the list.

“I believe that the role of technology in today’s restaurant is to efficiently handle the mundane and labor-intensive “back of the house” tasks while allowing the restaurant owner, manager and wait staff to put more focus on the people-to-people aspects of our business.”

Jeremy Julian

Chief Operating Officer

Jeremy Julian CBS NorthStarRole: Jeremy grew up in the business and has worked in every department. He has spent time in Support where he was on the front lines doing installs and solving customer problems. Later he moved into a sales and product development role and today Jeremy’s focus is on customer acquisition and successful product deployment.

 

Hometown: Freehold, NJ. Raised in Chino, CA.

 

Personal: Jeremy’s “claim to fame” is that he was born in the same hospital as Bruce Springsteen. He completed his first marathon in October 2011 and has run several since. Jeremy is active in philanthropic activities with his church and is the proud father of four children.

Joe Stafford

Chief Financial Officer

Role: Joe is responsible for the accounting, finance, legal, and human resource functions at Custom Business Solutions.  Prior to joining CBS he held similar positions at a number of technology companies in Orange County.  In addition to those positions, Joe has successfully started and grown several entities into multi-million dollar enterprises. His experience spans SaaS, software, technology, manufacturing, distribution,  managed, and professional services.

 

Hometown: Bronx, New York

 

Personal:  Joe is a graduate of California State University Fullerton with degrees in accounting and economics and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California. He is also an Expert in Residence at The Cove at UCI and at Connect/Springboard in San Diego; in addition, he is a Certified Mergers and Acquisition Advisor and a recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Orange County in the Business Services category. Joe has been married for 30 years to Kellie, his much better half, and has two grown daughters, Nicole and Corey.  He likes to surf, cycle, and travel for leisure.

Anthony Presley

Chief Technology Officer

Role: Anthony oversees the software product and development efforts, our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and works with our partners and customers to ensure that our software meets their needs. He has deep cloud experience as well as experience with Point of Sale, back-office, and labor management software in restaurant, hospitality, and grocery stores. He loves delighting customers and partners with reliable and easy-to-use software that drives results in an industry that is continuously evolving.

 

Hometown: Roanoke, Texas

 

Personal: Anthony loves volunteering for a wide variety of entrepreneur programs and is an amateur chef on the weekends with a preference for the sous-vide and pellet smoking methods of cooking. He and his wife have raised two boys and he has coached competitive and recreational soccer for more than ten years. Anthony grew up a Navy brat, living all over the world before settling in Texas.
