Known Issues – August 13, 2012

This is a periodic summary of known issues in our released software. If you discover a problem in released software that is not listed, please send a report to Application Support using the template in KM article #674.

POSitouch

Unresolved issues:

  • Managers are unable to adjust excessively large tip amounts (313-464389)
  • PosiRpt discount/coupon report does not account for overring form-of-payment discounts
  • PosiRpt “discount category summary” report missing some types of discounts

Will be resolved in the next release (estimated: September 2012):

  • Expiration dates on version 5 setup and version 6 update
  • PMS system always received table #1 when using “Adjustment” button
  • Incorrect auth amount on CC auth screen when “remove tax” is used on form of payment (313-478817)
  • Customer display does not show order tracking
  • Meal break exceptions aren’t checked for users who don’t use POS
  • TAW.EXE is unable to adjust paid breaks
  • Positerm gets stuck when refunding a gift card on a reopened check (313-457635)
  • CC Auth screen displays meaningless balance amounts for some forms of payment (313-466080)
  • POSirpt doesn’t correctly attribute comps to managers (313-464722)
  • Cannot change jobs properly when “pay if shorter” is turned on for breaks
  • Various checkfile discrepancies
  • Various temporary malfunctions

NorthStar Change Management

Unresolved issues:

  • No known issues

Resolved in the current release:

  • N/A

NorthStar Recipe Editor

Unresolved issues:

  • Bulk delete does not work
  • Copying and pasting a recipe does not dynamically update the global view
  • Pages must be manually refreshed to see new recipes
  • Notes on images shows HTML on the first line
  • Issues with printing recipes from the editor
  • Searching recipes can be very slow
  • Sorting by date does not work
  • Toolbar customizations are not saved
  • Using tab to move between fields skips the “procedures” section
  • Images added by URL do not print
  • When copying a recipe, dates change to today’s date

Resolved in the current release (July 31):

  • Spacing between words gets removed when editing recipes
  • Notes entered into the second notes field do not appear on the recipe viewers
  • Adding a recipe to a recipe group does not always work
  • Resizing special symbols does not work
  • External links in recipes do not appear in the grid view
  • When adding a new stage to an existing recipe and then moving it up, the information below the new stage disappears
  • Portal sometimes fails on first load

NorthStar Live

Unresolved issues:

  • No known issues

Resolved in the current release:

  • [1.1.2.13] Installed version now installs a generic scoreboard layout

NorthStar Desktop and Enterprise Portal

Unresolved issues:

  • Desktop 4.10 will not automatically update to the next version.

Resolved in the current release:

  • [Desktop 4.10] Invoice numbers are no longer purged from Desktop during regular purging.
  • [Desktop 4.9] Workflow is no longer missing when Desktop is installed under a different user account.
  • [Desktop 4.9] Tip pool amounts export properly again.
  • [Desktop 4.9] Payroll Summary report no longer shows a different number of split shifts before and after committing.
