1) Download the latest Recipe Viewer Portal located in

2) Extract the contents of the zip file downloaded into your Recipe Viewer Portal folder in the server. They are normally located in c:inetpubwwwrootrv folder (Note: If you made any customizations to any css files or ascx files to change fonts or colors in the portal folder, it may be over written.)

3) Restart IIS.

4) Once the portal folder has been upgraded, you will then need to launch the recipe editor to complete the upgrade. (Note: if the SQL User client used in the Recipe Editor Setup does not have any Database Owner and SysAdmin rights to the database, you may get an error while logging in.)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

YOU MUST UPGRADE YOUR SQL SERVER TO 2008 FOR THIS NEW FEATURE. YOU MUST ALSO HAVE .NET FRAMEWORK 4.0 INSTALLED AND HAVE YOUR RV WEBSITE POINTED TO THAT FRAMEWORK.

Enhancements:

  • Add the ability to change the recipe template in each recipe.
    • The user can now change the template when the user configures a recipe
    • If no template was selected on a recipe it would use the system template
  • Add the ability to change the recipe template in each recipe.
  • The user on the recipe viewer client can now select which quantity to work on if the recipe has multiple quantities.
  • Add the ability to add links to recipes inside recipes
  • Add the ability to add unlimited number of links and support that thru the Viewer
  • Added the ability to warn a user before deleting a group or category in recipe editor
  • Add the ability to see highlighted changes in the recipes only for the modified period
  • Add the ability to sort the announcement screen alphabetically
  • Add the ability to see only new and updated recipes
  • Add the ability to search for a recipe using a screen keyboard.
  • Add the ability to highlight modifications with a set color so they can show up in the viewer for the modified period.
  • Add ability to copy a recipe from one system to another system and be able to choose the group it copies into
  • Add ability to view a report on who modified a recipe, when and what the original value was and what it was changed to.
  • Add ability to view a report on how many times a recipe was viewed.

Fixes:

  • Can now bulk delete recipes
  • No longer have to hit save twice to update a new recipe onto the portal
  • Fixed the bug that made fonts mismatched in RV client
  • Fixed date sorting bug
  • Fixed issue where using special characters in editor, words after the special characters are showing up as bold.
  • Getting .net error when moving certain items into other categories.
  • RV alignment on quantity is slightly off
  • Fixed issue where making a header description Bold in Recipe editor, the recipe portal will not honor that font.
  • Fixed issue when you copy a recipe, the dates change automatically to today’s date rather than retaining the original date.
  • Better .net error when user cannot connect to the database instead of throwing up a BIG .net error
  • Fixed issue where you have to hit save on a recipe 2 times before it shows up on the portal.
  • Fixed issue where Notes on the images show HTML code on the first line
  • Fixed issue when accessing external link from QSR to Recipe Viewer causes an ASP Error.
  • Fixed printing issue where groups are missing at the top.
  • Fixed Issue where you will get a .net Error when viewing the Grid after clicking the Recipes button.
  • Fixed Issue where associated images are not copying over when you copy recipes
  • Fixed Issue where adding stages in recipe and moving it, will cause other stages to disappear.
  • Fixed issue where printing recipes from a browser will cut off the second page.
  • Fixed issue where adding large amount of stages causes an error.
